This Week’s theme..
This week’s theme is not the 90’s, it’s Songs from the Year You were Born, which is the 80’s I think for all contestants except Michael and David A. So basically, it’s 80’s week again. (Note: The show makes a billion dollars, can nobody note that they already did this theme, albeit for a different reason?) They should make theme sing in order, from Michael to David A. But they will not…

1982 – David C
1983 – Brooke, Carly
1984 - Kristie
1985 - Chikezie
1987 – Ramiele, Syesha, Jason
1990 – David A
I implore Syesha and Ramiele NOT to sing a Whitney Houston song, I implore all the other girls not to sing Heart songs, and that no one sings a remake released in the 80’s of a 60’s song.

The eliminated contestants (5 of them I believe) will return on Idol Gives Back to compete for a spot on the Idol Tour. So if you are a fan of Amanda, Danny, Kady, Luke or any of our other eliminated contestants, you are in luck as they are coming back. When I first saw this I thought it was coming back to the show, and I was horrified (what would I do for the pool?) but it’s just for the tour. To me, this is basically the Danny invitational, he will win, no matter what he does, and will be back on the tour.
I had heard about a twist involving eliminated contestants way back in Week 1, and was absolutely horrified that they’d totally jump the shark and screw up the voting and bring someone back. Thankfully they did not. The competition should be part of the Idol Gives Back show, which has been extended to 2 ½ hours.

Danny notwithstanding I'm not sure I like this idea. They're gone. Let them go.
Some thoughts first on last week...not too sad to see Amanda leave, but I think Kristy should have left first.

Syesha was excellent and her best yet.
Jason was weak, but ah, did you hear Simon say that he's got potential to win??? He needs to step it up big time with some great big song!
Michael Johns finally had his moment! The confidence was there and he pushed himself. I want more!
David A was born in 1990...I just can't fathom that. lol! Maybe if I knew his song I could get into his performance. Simon said it was like a theme park performance - I have to say, I kinda agree. The song wasn't really him.
SO many songs from the great 80's and they choose these awkward ones that don't work. ARGH!
zzzzz...Kristy is doing nothing for me. Dawg and Paula say this is a great song -- how is it in theme??? And Simon just said her best one yet and this is going to keep her in the competition?! Here I was thinking she or Chakezie goes next.
Interesting rendition of Billy Jean by David Cook. Oh well, give him credit for always being creative. Damn, I don't even have him in my top 5!
